CODE:RED is a project which investigates and discusses aspects of prostitution and sex work as a specific form of parallel economy. It used real and virtual spaces and takes the form of an open dialog between artists, sex workers and the public. I. World Congress of Sex Workers and New Parasitism was a part of the CODE:RED, Sex Worker project prepared for 49. Venice Biennial. It was organized in close collaboration with Comitato per I Diritti Civili delle Prostitute from Pordenone, Italy and it took place in public space in a tent near Giardini. We invited activists, sexual workers, organizations from Italy and from all over the World. The Congress brought a platform for discussion and later public actions. A special issue of newspaper SEX WORKER was printed.
